TOM BAKER'S EYES & SUPERMAN'S KNICKERS

One very good reason I was terrified of Doctor Who when I was a kid. Two, actually. Tom Baker's eyes (relieved to hear from this snippet that I'm not the only one and that the presenter felt the same way). As for Superman's knickers ... utterly priceless.

Tom Baker was fab in the Golden Voyage of Sinbad, mind you with Caroline Munro being in that film no wonder he had staring eyes !!!

Great clip. I know what you mean about the eyes, but I thought he was great when I was a kid, it's that brilliant grin. Me mam on the other hand was seriously freaked out by him, esp. when she read in paper that his house was dusty?!

Superman breaks the first law of time by flying around Earth in order to save Lois. That's a slapped wrist and a parking ticket from a Timelord right there.

;-)

I could handle it when Baker was grinning, because then his eyes weren't wide open.

I have three photographs of me watching Doctor Who when I was a kid. In the first picture I'm sat on the settee. Next picture I'm crouching by the settee arm using it for partial cover, next picture after that I'm watching from the kitchen. Never mind hiding behind the sofa, I couldn't even sit in the same room and watch it. I loved it, absolutely loved it.
